On November 3, the second edition of SpaceXperience took place in the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome. André Kuipers performed three shows in one day in which he told about his experience as an astronaut. In addition, he gave insight into the developments in space travel and where it’s heading in the future.
During the show we used a robot that we could move across the stage using a custom-made platform. We also had all of the planets hanging around the room on moving winches. In addition, the central round center screen could be moved up and down above the stage. The launch and return of a shuttle from and to the earth was accompanied by many effects such as low fog, smoke, co-2, flames, sparkulars and great light and surround sound effects.
The show was one big audiovisual experience in which André and his inspiring story were central.
